Workshop Overdrive #2

First and foremost, we (you know who you are) would like to apologize to Mr Wong Hong Mun and our team manager for being late.

So day 2 at workshop resumes day 1 work. This time the progress was a lot faster than day 1, somehow. Moreover, Mr Wong gave us a huge shock when he said one of engine part was missing. Searched up and down, every single corner of the workshop but we couldn't find it. In the end, it was actually sealed up in the plastic bag! Oh well, at least all that searching made Kee Chean do some housekeeping. Now our place is very very neat.

Workshop Overdrive #1

The fabrication process has finally begun! Well, for the chassis part that is. Nonetheless, it's still a lot of work and everyone seems to be working hard and "hide" inside the workshop whenever possible. Even our team supervisors came and help us by giving suggestions. Much appreaciated sir!

Overhauling Engine.

In order to improve the efficiency of the engine, we decided to perform an overhaul on the engine. Of course, it's a DIY overhaul. Bought 5 liters of diesel just to soak the engine parts for a few days (Update: It is still being soaked till today!). It wasn't not an easy job as the cardon deposits were thick and refuses to come off no matter how hard we scrubbed for days. It's a really really old engine...

Investigation #2

Today it's all about engine engine engine! So much to learn about engine. Moreover, we plan to improve the efficiency of the engine so it will reduce the fuel consumption. A few factors that we have considered were compression ratio, reducing idle RPM, manipulating the gear ratio, and fine tuning the carburator.

Our seniors actually built something similar to what we are going to build! Without thinking twice, we went and investigate the said vehicle to have a better idea of our vehicle.
